Solar & Storage Live Vietnam 2024: Paving the Way for a Sustainable Future

On July 10-11, Solar & Storage Live Vietnam 2024 took place at the SKY EXPO Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Vietnam, boasting Southeast Asia’s largest wind and solar power generation, continues to expand its energy landscape. According to the Vietnam National Load Dispatch Center (EVNNLDC), by the end of 2023, the country’s total installed capacity reached 80,555 MW. Solar power accounted for approximately 18,474 MW, representing 22.9% of the total, with over 9,000 MW generated from rooftop solar installations.

As renewable energy, particularly solar energy, becomes an increasingly vital component of Vietnam’s energy strategy, Zitop (brand name Gcots), a leader in solar lighting, is poised to leverage its extensive experience to support Vietnam’s energy transformation and contribute to a low-carbon future.

Innovative Solar Lighting Solutions

At the exhibition, GCOTS’s iron and aluminum solar lights with high-quality powder-coated shells stood out, differing significantly from the ABS plastic housing solar lights commonly found in the Vietnamese market. This distinction attracted considerable attention and admiration from attendees.

Our display included a range of solar lighting solutions, such as solar floodlights, split street lights, and integrated street lights. These products offer brightness levels ranging from 8W 1040 lumens to 40W 8000 lumens, catering to the night lighting needs of industrial and commercial parks, residential areas, medium and low-flow secondary roads, and sidewalks.

Engaging with the Right Audience

The most common type of customers encountered at this exhibition were energy companies that provide photovoltaic power generation and energy storage solutions for industrial, commercial, and residential clients. These companies mainly offer solar power generation and energy storage services but have potential business connections with solar lighting. Although not every company currently provides solar lighting services, some are considering incorporating lighting into their product service line due to increasing customer demand.

These companies deliver integrated energy solutions through key technologies such as photovoltaic panels and energy storage systems. By including solar lighting in their offerings, they can meet the diverse needs of their customers while promoting environmental protection and sustainable development. This integration also advances the popularization of green energy by reducing carbon emissions and dependence on fossil fuels.

Addressing Market Needs

Large industrial parks are often developed to attract foreign investors who, in addition to financial benefits and cost-effectiveness, prioritize green and environmentally friendly construction. We’ve collaborated with numerous industrial park owners both in China and abroad and have identified common lighting needs as follows:

Main Roads: High brightness and wide-range lighting equipment are required. The pole height is generally 8-12 meters, and the distance between lamps is 25-35 meters. The brightness requirement is high to ensure the safety of vehicles driving at high speeds.

Secondary Roads: The lighting requirements are slightly lower but must still guarantee basic safety. The pole height is 6-8 meters, and the distance between lamps is 20-30 meters.

Sidewalks and Parking Lots: Moderate brightness and evenly distributed lighting are required. The pole height is 4-6 meters, and the spacing depends on the specific situation to ensure pedestrian safety and convenient parking.

Warehouses and Logistics Areas: High-brightness, shock-proof, and dust-proof lighting equipment is needed to meet the demands of nighttime loading, unloading, and transportation. The installation height and spacing of lamps should be adjusted according to the specific site layout.

Superior Product Quality

Our solar panels are manufactured using grade A materials from large factories, achieving a conversion efficiency of over 22.5%. Additionally, we use special textured glass with a thickness of approximately 3mm ± 0.2mm. Compared to standard solar panels, our panels offer higher conversion efficiency, greater impact resistance, and superior dust protection. This ensures that our solar lights perform reliably and efficiently in various environmental conditions.

Commitment to a Sustainable Future

As Vietnam continues its journey towards a greener and more sustainable energy future, Zitop (Gcots) remains dedicated to providing high-quality solar lighting solutions. Our commitment to using advanced materials and innovative technologies ensures that our products not only meet but exceed market expectations. By partnering with industrial parks and energy companies, we aim to contribute significantly to reducing carbon emissions and promoting the widespread adoption of renewable energy. Together, we can illuminate the path to a low-carbon future and drive the growth of sustainable energy in Vietnam and beyond.
