In June, as an exhibitor, we had the privilege of engaging with numerous domestic trading companies at the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition. A significant insight emerged from these interactions: a substantial portion of road lighting projects is being implemented in rural China. Villages independently procure solar street lights, benefiting from government subsidies, with power ratings typically ranging from 20W to 60W. These orders, while fragmented, are notable for their preference for higher-than-average market quality—a perfect match for our company’s product positioning.
Our confidence in the development of our homeland, China, is bolstered by these tangible examples of progress and modernization. The ongoing rural development initiatives outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) emphasize the importance of sustainable infrastructure, aiming to enhance living conditions and promote green energy solutions. This strategic direction aligns seamlessly with our commitment to providing top-quality solar lighting solutions.
Our recent experiences underscore this alignment. In the past month alone, two of our dedicated R&D colleagues successfully facilitated significant solar street light orders, each valued at over RMB 250,000 (around USD 34,400). These orders, hailing from their respective hometowns, exemplify the growing investment in rural infrastructure and the willingness of rural communities to adopt high-quality, sustainable lighting solutions.
The Chinese government’s emphasis on rural revitalization through the 14th Five-Year Plan supports initiatives like ours. By providing substantial subsidies for solar lighting projects, the government fosters an environment where rural areas can thrive and modernize sustainably.
