Customer Reception

The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) 2024 saw participation from over 3,300 exhibitors. Our company had a custom booth spanning 36 square meters located in Hall 8.1 on the basement level. Throughout the four-day exhibition, we hosted approximately 130 visitors. Among these visitors, more than 100 were Chinese customers, followed by clients from Southeast Asia (Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand). We also saw some attendance from the Middle East, with fewer clients from Europe and North America.

Our visitor count is considered above average compared to the numerous exhibitors present. Notably, 80% of our visitors were engineering contractors, while the remaining 20% were wholesalers. We issued 52 project quotations, with 16 currently in close communication. Overall, the return on investment for this exhibition was satisfactory.

Market Information

1. Middle East Market:
   • Conditions: High temperatures (evening temperatures between 45-50°C), long daylight hours, low rainfall, and unstable voltage.
   • Preferences: Mains-powered lighting fixtures with independent drivers and good heat dissipation, with a warranty of 5 years or more. Solar-powered fixtures should have iron or aluminum casings, moderate battery capacity, and the ability to fully charge and discharge within a day to reduce costs.
2. Malaysian Market:
   • Requirements: High-power integrated solar street lights made of aluminum, designed to last through 3-5 rainy days, with a 5-year warranty.
3. South Korean Market:
   • Conditions: Continental climate with hot, rainy summers, requiring larger battery capacities to support 2-3 rainy days.
   • Preferences: Projects tend to favor low-power split designs used at main road entrances or in parks, with plastic or iron casings, external battery boxes clamped onto the poles, and warranties of 2-3 years.
